The Multicultural society will have an opening event for the Russian Culture & Art Exhibit on Friday, November 20, 2009. The event will begin at 7pm and end at 9pm.
This event will showcase the works of four Russian Artists: Alexey Zoob, Elena Voznesenskaya-Pound, Slava Protopopov, and Elena Azernaya. Patrons will experience a Russian folk dance by Yulia Zhmutski, a professional dancer and teacher. Patrons will also have the opportunity to browse through the vendor's area. There, Galina's Goodies will have Russian nesting dolls, paper mache boxes, and jewelry for sale. Patrons can also purchase items from the Russian Orthodox Church gift shop.
We would like to extend a thank you to Olga and Alexsei Tarasova from our partnering organization Russian-American Business who have been key in locating artists and additional planning for this event.
The works of art will be for sale. The exhibit will remain open until January 6th, 2010.
